Thank you so much Dave for commenting and sharing this additional information with us. Ayurvedic treatments can have a tremendously positive effect on those going through cancer. Supplemental therapies are slowly becoming part of doctors' treatments so lets keep the faith and continue to spread the word! - Britta

Some Ayurvedic treatments, I found from experience, do help alleviate the harsh effects of chemo and radiation. For example curcuma, aka turmeric, when used liberally in a vegetable broth soothes the stomach and help with nausea. Ginger tea, or even sucking on the root itself, is one of the best anti-nauseas remedies I know of.
I would like to see a greater effort being put on studying the efficacy of other, promising, Ayurvedic herbal medicines/treatments.
The positive effects of meditation on cancer patients have been studied and are well documented. Time and time again it has been proven that meditation practiced for a long period has a cumulative effect that improves different parameters in cancer patients.
All that cancer patients can expect, for the time being at least, is to be able to have their oncologist be open minded enough to allow, or even embrace, the inclusion of whatever Ayurvedic remedies that have proven to make the life of a cancer patient a bit more tolerable, if nothing else.
