Share Your Story
Have you experienced cancer, or cared for a loved one who did? Have you battled a skin condition, or suffered a devastating rash that made you want to hide? Did you recently become aware of the toxins in your products, and decide to clean up your personal-care routine?
Our life experiences—especially the challenging ones—tend to change us in fundamental ways. Before we can move on, however, we need to make sense of what happened. What did it all mean? Why did it happen to us? What do we do now?
The Secret Is to Share It
I can’t tell you how much it helped me to share my own cancer journey and my father’s courageous battle on the pages of this website and in my blog. Even more helpful was writing my book, When Cancer Hits. I never realized how much “stuff” I needed to process until I started getting it all down on paper!
I encourage you to do the same. Share your story with my readers. Identifying with others helps us heal, because it reveals how much we’re all fundamentally connected. We realize we’re not alone, no matter what our struggles may be. Your story is probably just what someone else needs to help manage a difficult experience. I know it will provide hopeand inspiration, because you’re here to tell it, aren’t you?
