There is no doubt that sugar is a poison we all willingly put into our bodies. Like anything that tastes or feels good, we are addicted to it. I know I am. I love my cookies, and I love the jam on my toast. I also love wine, and that has a ton of sugar in it, except we don't call it sugar. It's the natural breakdown of the grapes. But like many people, I have a hard time giving it up, even as I know it's better for me to leave it alone. Like any habit, it takes time and commitment to break, and I haven't done that yet. Maybe your article will cause me to eat a few less cookies a week until I can live without them.
